Here’s a peek into the engine room at The AI Shop. We got hold of a couple of crypto currency mining rigs (thanks nVisionIT) and repurposed them for generative AI. They look like props from a Mad Max movie and are so devoid of frills that they don’t even have an On switch. (You turn them on by shorting contacts on the motherboard with a car key – I kid you not).

But they’re bloody fast and help us experiment quickly with different model configurations and churn out products at speed. And just in case you’re wondering, yes, we’ve already considered adding rocket boosters for even faster performance. But that would be illegal.
